Yes I have been asking the bookers to, erm, book her for many months now and it does seem like she is at least in the continent AND Word Magazine do really like her stuff and she does look really very good live and has produced two of my favourite albums of recent years.

If they did book Janelle then I would take back at least one of my many posts deriding the festival's boring bookers, but I guess she'll probably end up as one of the many amazing performers on Europe that weekend (including Ornette Coleman, Erykah Badu, Atari Teenage Riot, Staff Benda Bilili, Chrome Hoof, Gorillaz, Omar Souleyman etc etc) that won't get booked for being just too good for the powers that be. But I'd love that sentence to be wrong and hope she does play because it would be good.

Is The Archandroid getting a UK release? Cos I can't find any info on it but it is sounding AMAZING.

June 21st I believe.

Play.com and other sources say 12th July. I must say, would fit in nicely with her second ever UK performance (at Latitude).
