Take a stroll through Latitude's fairytale forest and be enticed by the sounds of the orchestral cabaret-pop brilliance of London's Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra drifting through the trees. With numbers ranging from 12 to 24, and sounding like a perfect mix of Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band meets Scott Walker, with a bit of Kurt Weill and The Beatles thrown in;  The MFMO are a large ensemble with flutes, big brass and a full string section, including a harp. And without any amplification their fantastically incongruous mix of over-orchestrated comedy songs, eccentric instrumentals and lovely ballads, some with original lyrics, some taken from old poems, will fill Latitude's woodland with a unique take on the traditional orchestra set-up - a showcase of staggering musical talent not to be missed.

Elsewhere throughout the weekend, we'll have dramatic entertainment from the RSC, The Opera Group and London Sinfonietta and the premiere of Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse's performance of Tiny Volcanoes by Laurence Wilson. On the fun and wild side we have the Cabaret Arena's selection of colourful performances from Duckie, Christopher Green's The Razzle and the quirky styling’s of Frisky and Mannish.

This is one place I will be checking out for sure.
