Sunrise wishlist
10 March 2010 18:44
( permalink)
I was just thinking about potential sunrise headliners and that and keeping the often electronic vibe it's seen from it's headliners the last couple of years - how about Fu ck Buttons? Stunning new album, rated highly in lots of top albums of 2009 (Including 10th in sponsors, The Word's list) I recon they'd obliterate the place amazingly similar to how 65daysofstatic did last year. That was my top shout, but others perhaps getting MIA back after dropping out in 08. Other wishlist thoughts: Battles (maybe too big though?), Holy ****, Growing, Neon Indian.

The Sunrise headliners is a difficult one because - though they're often to my taste - it's really awkward to see them then get to a good spot in the Word/Obelisk arenas for the main headliners.

I WOULD go see Battles, Future Of The Left, Janelle Monae, Konono No 1, Los Campesinos! or Toumani Diabete if they were to headline either the Friday or Saturday though.

ORIGINAL: calhudson maybeshewill for the new LOUD POST ROCK SUNDAY SLOT yes yes yes. Wicked awesome. Beach House is a great shout too, I saw them a couple of nights ago supporting Grizzly Bear and they were just as stunning as Grizzly Bear. They also performed some songs together which seemed to really excite them. So having them both at the festival might mean a bit of colaboration at Latitude.

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip or MIA would make my festival. I'd miss anyone on Obelisk to see them, without a doubt!

Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip (not in any order) i am so looking forward to the festival this year :) x
