Don't worry BeeRose, no-one is lucky when it comes to student finance. Mrs Hoppo is always on the phone in a rage at them

Yep Bateson hall, the cheapest and worst hall ever, am I lucky or what. Moving down on the 18th and freshers' fortnight starts the 20th.

BeeRose GUYS is it worth getting a secondhand but in good condition MacBook for £250?? Are they good/is that a good deal?? Do you know what condition it's in? It sounds like a good deal but I'd be sceptical, a friend of mine used to sell them on every time a new model came out and he'd get almost retail price for them. (also as IF you get a freshers fortnight, a week was too much for me!)

I wish that I was at End Of The Road right now; they have Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, Allo Darlin' and Darren Hayman as the not so secret Thursday nights guests. That has to beat Tom Jones.

Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant. The only B&S album I've never listened to fully, found it in a record shop today for £6.

"Fresh", off Devo's new album, impossible to listen to this and not get your groove on at least a little bit.

anyways, me an mrs hoppo just chilling out to 'solid air', by the great, and late lamented John Martyn...fantastic stuff. so, me supping on blandford forums finest ale, and wife sipping on her amontillado, i have got into musing...what ever happened to john martyn's amputated leg now he is dead ? has it been interred with the rest of him, or, is it some bell jar full of formaldehyde on public display up ten flights of stairs in some wretched Edinburgh tenement that is posing as a surgeons museum...and i wonder, if this dislocated limb, alone in its jar, sometimes, when all the tourist have gone and its is left quite alone in the dark in the surgeons museum sometimes, just sometimes, when ever a young loving couple brings home that solid air CD and plays it for the first time, cuddling up on the DHS sofa and feeling a warm glow all over after half a bottle of cheap asda Chardonnay , does not that lonely leg some how start tapping along with that loving vibe coming to it through the ether, causing ripples in the formaldehyde, and the containing jar itself to emit a lonely yet strangely lovely glow...? its a thought nb...the surgeons museum in Edinburgh is in up a long flight of tenement stairs, but is a fantastic and fascinating place to visit and free...

At this precise moment, i am listening to David Cameron's speech to the tory party. He's just wished Margaret Thatcher happy birthday. What an odd man.

Salem are just a bit, well...boring aren't they? I've only heard a couple of songs. Better than the usual hauntologicalzzzzzzzzzz snoozefests, but not by much. I'm going to be in Edinburgh on Monday night, and I'm going to be ALL ALONE. Apart from breaking into the surgeon's museum after-hours, what should I do, please?
