wow, nice one tintin - I'd probably forgotten that song, despite the fact that we pretty much looked just like Deacon Blue at around that time. probably you were just about born.
what is it about scots bands that they are just somehow way cooler than their contemporaries whatever the era or genre?

Currently listening to a mashup of Coldplay "Every teardrop is a waterfall" and Rhianna's "we found love" by Djs from Mars. 

A real cool mix of guitars and urban beats, something just a bit different aye, I know y'all hate it but, I thought I'd update you, this is much like a twitter feed but for music, I like that.

Anyone heard of a band called Liechtenstein?  I hadn't until a few days ago when I heard one of their tracks at the end of a film - 'Blog' a newish Spanish film about a whole class of teenage girls all getting pregnant on the same night on a school trip (wasn't anything like that in my day) - anyway, they're a band from Gothenburg apparently, I only started listening to them last night and so far all their other tracks sound quite ordinary, but I can't stop listening to the track I first heard:

Bearsuit sounds plausible, because twee is defo the word to describe the Liechtenstein lot.  Not sure what's wrong with me, my ultra low tolerance for tweeicity is faltering, must be me age.

I've listened to Paralytic Stalks nearly four times today. It is all over the place. All over the place.
 
I think Kevin Barnes has finally lost his marbles.
 
There are some highlights - Dour Percentage, Malefic Dowery, Wintered Debts - but most of it is very undistinguishable. VERY. It's chaotic and noisy.
 
I don't dislike it, and it's really interesting.  The last two minutes of Authentic Pyrrhic Remission are great. 
 
I wish the whole album was like Dour Percentage and Malefic Dowery.
 
These are my first impressions. I'll probably grow to love it.
