mixing my thread posts, am listening to micah p hinson (i am getting twangier by the week) having just cooked a fabby venison sausage casserole. apologies to vegies amongst you but it was the bees, what with a bottle of red in it and and and.

Do you know what's really good? The new album by Darren Hayman. Not quite as good as The Fidelity Wars (i.e. one of the best albums ever) but highly listenable nonetheless, love it when he writes these little small town dramas.

Yup, the new Hayman album is very good indeed. Remember first hearing Hefner on his show. Being that he died 6 years ago today though it is worth mentioning. Also remember him playing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULqtganlDGE one night. He then said as it was so good that he wanted to play it again, so he played it again; tells you everything you need to know about the man really.

Reckon they'll do some more UK tour dates too? Their set at latitude was so good, loved singing along with Bitteorca on one side and Justin Bieber lookalike on the other.

James Blake - Klavierwerke EP
This is really ****king good. Minimalist dubstep with gayish vocals over the top. It's really sparse and pretty haunting and beautiful. Its the kinda of thing I think Arthur Russell would be doing if he was around nowadays instead of being an AIDS victim.
