right now i am off to invigilate an art exhibition/instillation at a pop-up gallery in one of Rochdale's dying shopping malls... should be fun, a disused, empty chain-store unit filled with masses of charity shop tat, laced with glitter an' gold; subtext, a feminist psycho-sexual response to Osborne's austerity and its influence of the post industrial north...or something like that...

Me, I'm trying to work out where this hideous tinnitus is coming from - having spent several nights searching for the set of keys by my pillow that turned out not to be there. Just hoping it's not the you-stood-next-to-the-speakers-constantly-as-a-teenager-what-did-you-expect kind.
Still trying to work out if I can sneak in the back without elder daughter spotting me (so uncool) to Alt-J/Ghostpoet soon.

Can I just say, brrrrrrr, it's cold.  Is it cold back in Blighty? When I got up this morning it was -23 according to the thermometer on my balcony, it did 'warm up' to -15 during the day. Kinda been like it all week so far and life goes on... but I am planning on not going out at all this weekend (unless a heat wave of -5 comes along... or I run out of chocolate/wine).

what an idiot...of course the group are a life time affliction: why the last time i had doubts about them was back in '79, when i thought they had lost it after the high point in 78...how foolish i was as a teen...
 
on the gallery front, today we finally got our bank account sorted...so all we need now is some funding.

I struggle to read too much into it.  After three undergraduate years in Manchester I can only conclude that nowhere is so in thrall to the past as Manchester.  I would have so loved to visit the Vinyl Exchange and not meet John Robb or walk down Oldham Street and not doff my cap to MES.  In my third year I lived on Palatine Road and not a day did not go past when someone did not ask me if I had ever met Vini Reilly.  In the end I had to move to Hebden Bridge.

Just found out I have an interview tomorrow with the Kaiser Chiefs for the Student Union paper, wooo!

I'll try and  see if I can interrogate them into saying if they are playing at a local music festival in the summer ;D

Hi Riverlodge, a bit misleading with the timings of my post, I edited it earlier today so the interview is tomorrow. 

I changed it from a rant about this that and the other which has now cooled off from Saturday afternoon haha. 

Therefore I haven't actually done my questions yet however you have gave me an idea to make a question about their rider list, thanks RL ;D
