he comes across as a complete arse in today's guardian interview, mind you, that armatige bloke did not come across too well either
I'm so sick of Snow Patrol,
and where to find Esso lubricant & mobile numbers.

Yes, as a fan of both Armitage and St Steven, the article has put me off them both. But then again I always knew Morrissey was a bit of a twat irl.

Yet another nail in the coffin of that closet racist stephen patrick morrissey...and the rest of all closed minded indie sorts :-

John Harris usually nails these things, but that article is all over the place. He was never an especially good music writer, he's much better on politics.

On a related matter, I have just listened to the song "Dear Morrissey" by leading Northern Portrait tribute band The Felt Tips. Jesus wept. Whatever you think of Morrissey's retreat into ignorance and obsolescence, they've got a ****ing nerve. It's like some kid that scribbles a tag on walls moaning about Philip Larkin.

I agree, after reading that article I struggled to realise what the point of it was.

You should hear Sparks' "Lighten Up Morrissey", utterly terrible.

It was great when I saw the Felt Tips live and was a bit drunk and I posted mean things about them on Twitter. Probably the high point of my existence.
