Hello Thomas. I will do a list, but not of ten and not this evening. Ten would look like a top ten and that would be wrong. I will do a one CD introduction tracklist, should Sony or whatever ask me to curate such a thing due to an administrative error or something. It won't be very exciting though, as I will not be daft enough to look past the obvious smash hit singles.

Hello Nico Rijnders. I actually did a The Very Best Of Luke Haines CD for someone quite recently - with handwritten comments for every song - but can't be bothered to go check what songs I included. Maybe I will later, when Highlander isn't on.

How to Hate The Working Classes 16. Home Again 17. What Happens When We Die Seamlessly segueing into this thread... Basically an incredible tracklist. I would probably change the following: Swap 'American guitars' for 'Showgirl' Swap 'Oliver Twist Manifesto' (reprise) for 'Home again' Find room for 'Dead sea navigators' Lenny Valentino should be the Das Capital version Upper Classes should be the BBC session version Luke Haines is very good. His book is still good. Facts of life...what a song. 15 year old Thomas listened to it a lot. Look how that turned out.

Yeah, that's what outsider art is all about. Monetising the fanbase.

I don't know what to think. So that's Round One to Haines. I think I'll have to wait and see how my car does in its MOT next month. Surely even I wouldn't purchase one of these, would I? I bet I would. Oh dear.

It's pretty much the bog standard flavour of the month marketing initiative though, no? Trumped up premium product, sold for ludicrous price to core fanbase.

Yeah but I am a sucker for all that stuff. Capitalism at its finest. I am basically an idiot.

Fortunately they sold out before I had a chance to buy one after coming home drunk, saving me £75 to spend on less worthwhile things like brakepads, suspension, etc.

Oh, don't get me started. Sadly not. Owning a car is the worst thing ever and I wish I didn't.

So, Thomas, has much or any of this leaked and that? I haven't really looked, tbh.

I haven't seen any leaks (or heard any, for that matter). There is a review of one person's copy here. I'm sure the songs will turn up again on later albums. The whole project seemed a bit stupid but who am I to judge Haines for making 4 grand off some gullible fans for a few hours work? It might let him make a massively expensive album next.
