This is almost certainly covered somewhere else but I remember reading somewhere the showers are open and you can only use eco friendly shampoo, conditioner and shower gel? I'm all for the eco bit but there are still things I wouldn't do any differently at a festival and shower in front of a bunch of strangers isn't one of them. I would like a little bit of privacy still.

Pretty sure they are open ones yeah, but they have seperate times for men and women.
 
I don't use them, it's only a few days, plenty of deoderant and babywipes does the job.

personal hygenine + festivals = no brainers ?? what is the point of even going if u cannot deal with a bit of body ouder...damm and blast the spell checks gone down again

I don't mind body odour, as long as it's not mine. Chances are I won't be bothered to get up at 6am for a hot shower but if I did, I'd rather wash my bits alone. 

well there you go...and its easy enough to heat up a bowl of water to wash yer bits if needs be...only dont forget to take along a bowl

You'd have thought that would be a solution, but when you have a stomach that looks like it's trying to slide off the rest of your post childbirth body, you wouldn't want to wear a bikini in front of strangers either.

It's not as bad as it sounds...while they are open showers, there is still a bit of closed-off-ness.
 
The showers are arranged in sets, about four in a line opposite another four in a line, with seperators in between before the next set of four and four...almost like this, where the showers are inbetween the 'I's:

Also, most people are feeling very much the same and act with 'modesty' (i.e. not gazing around at who else is in the showers)
 
If you're still unhappy, perhaps wear a loose-ish vest top and pants then just get your hands underneath to wash and do all the drying/changing back at your tent.

yeah, if you think about it everyone's in the same boat (or shower :P) so i'm expecting the vast majority of people (particularly women) to be feeling much the same way as you are.

Wasn't it everyone showering at the same time last year?  They had two areas, one for girls and one for boys, I just remember loling at the 100m girl queue as I walked past them right into the mens shower area, being a bloke is rather awesome most of the time.

Why would you be worried about people seeing you naked in a shower area, tbh, im more likely to look at you if you are there in a t-shirt and trunks or something. I would be wondering if you were horribly scarred.

Before last years Latitude, I thought being my first festival I would be showering every day. But when I got there, I got into the spirit of it and didn't shower the whole time I was there. I can understand why people would want to shower, though.
