MY GIRLFRIEND HAS JUST GOT IN FROM WORK AND SAYS TO GET TICKETS FOR US BOTH FOR THE GIG AND WE CAN SORT OUT LOGISTICS LATER. YES!!!!

Been looking up the music venues in Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms looks fairly decent, will probably go and see Darwin Deez, Villagers, Tricky, NME Radar tour etc.

*gets all misty eyed again*

They often have festival warm up gigs at the Wedgewood Rooms, worth looking out for. Ian Brown got bottled off after turning up really late and messing around a lot.

 It seems to have gone a bit tribute band/dodgy club night, though the mod nights they still do were always good.

Incidents to befall associates of Nico Rijnders at the venue include both Liam Gallagher and Mark E.Smith opening the same door into the same friend's face, both were very nice about it, the same person being kicked in the head by a stagediving Patrick (?) out of Strangelove (ask your nan) and being all concused and that and Nico himself being temporarily banned from the venue during a very strange incident involving a disgruntled These Animal Men.

Magical times. If someone really good plays you should defo make the journey down for a nostalgia fest.

Ha I used to like Strangelove, I had " Love and Other Demons" album, not that I can remember anything from it nowadays. 

Just had another little wave of JEW fever. Static Prevails is a beautiful record.

Freshers' Ball at Plymouth (my second choice) has the Maccabees and Nick Grimshaw. Freshers' Ball at Portsmouth has DJ IRONIK.

DJ Ironik lives in Norwich, a reliable source (i.e. some girl on a bus) has told me that he employs someone to set up a creche in his house for single mums that want to go to his house parties.

My friend Robin went to see him at GUILFEST but I think I went to the comedy tent or something.
Do you remember when I made that thread about how good guilfest was. OOOOOMMMGGGG so embarrassing.

I remember you went to see Brian Wilson, but he looked ill so you built a den out of coats preventing you from seeing him.

He did look ill but I don't remember a den of coats. Is this one of your jokes and I don't get it so you're going to say "ffs"?

My fresher's "balls" had Reggie Yates. WOO WOO. There was also a Prodigy Tribute Band which I'm told included a short fat white guy dressed as the big scary black guy.

currently debating weather or not to go see fall group in a couple of weeks...3 times in 12 months, a bit excessive even for me ? naw...i'll be there
