Hope Idlewild were finally good! The National (just got back) were sensational....much better than at Latitude where - poor things - they'd lost all their own gear & I thought were a bit of a let down. But tonight they were absolutely everything I'd hoped for + a bit more. Green Gloves now definitely my best song of the year! Plus they were supported by a great girl called St Vincent. Like a one girl Bat for Lashes but without the pouting & posturing and she played guitar like John Martyn used to in the mid 70s...brilliant cover of Beatles I dig a pony. Enough enthusing - it's the middle of November not July in Suffolk!

Arcade Fire, tonight at Alexandra Palace - yay I have Kings of Leon and We Are Scientists before Xmas, too! And since Latitude, i've had iLiKETRAiNS, TANAOU, Maps, The Departure, and Kate Nash all in my home town (Northampton). It's been a rich autumn for me as far as gigs have been concerned.
My head is a buzzing three star hotel.

having just been to my last gig of 2007 (Gogol Bordello) I thought I'd share my 2008 gigs... in no particular order as I can't remember the dates Hundred Reasons @ Waterfront, Norwich 30 Seconds to Mars @ UEA, Norwich Megadeth @ UEA, Norwich The Australian Pink FLoyd @ UEA, Norwich Get cape, Wear Cape, Fly @ Waterfront (for some reason), Norwich Dodgy @ ???, London Latitude and Reading done Please be aware that if you are at one of these events and you are unfortunate enought to getb stuck behind me, please don't keep shoving me in the back it's not my fault I@m stupidly tall. Just ask nicely and I'll let you go in front of me
