Okay, a mix of realism and optimism here (guess which is which...!): HEADLINERS: Fri - Mumford and Sons Sat - The Cure Sun - Joanna Newsom WORD HEADLINERS: Fri - Animal Collective Sat - Ryan Adams Sun - The Maccabees SUNDAY SLOT: Mazzy Star OTHER MUSIC: Field Music (Sunrise headliners?) M83 Los Campesinos! The Shins Luke Haines (in Film & Music doing Outsider Music/Psychedelic Meditations on British Wrestling) Tribes (probably Sunrise headliners, urgh) The Magnetic Fields (now they seem to be doing festivals...) The Fall Summer Camp 2:54 Jeffrey Lewis Yo La Tengo Craig Finn (solo) SBTRKT Dry The River (Sunrise headliners?) R. Stevie Moore Liars Beirut Nicola Roberts She & Him (urgh) FILM & MUSIC: Teeth Of The Sea soundtracking Doomsday Crispin Glover COMEDY: Louis CK (headliner) Daniel Kitson Sarah Millican (headliner) Jack Whitehall (*hack, spit*) Stewart Lee (headliner) Anyone who has ever been on Mock The Week, obviously Simon Munnery LITERARY: Will Self Julian Barnes THEATRE: Dr Dee (Alan Moore/Damon Albarn opera) I think all of these have at least a decent chance of happening. Let's see, huh?

loving the Stereolab reference m8. but no way is field music only sunrise headliner - probably more like 3/4th top on word. mazzy star as sunday slotters seems a bit unsuitable, swap them with magnetic fields maybe. animal collective offsetting mumford is obviously brilliant but would no doubt spur "i'm defo seeing mumford, who the f is animal collective lol!?" from the ignoramus teens. would be dee-lighted with r stevie moore, los campesinos! and jeffrey lewis.

Fluorescences .....SUNDAY SLOT: Mazzy Star..... That would be nice. I'd get up early and head over to the Obelisk for that.

Aye, Magnetic Fields might be a good Sunday slot call...might even make Merritt a little less grumpy, you never know! I just like the idea of AC turning up and playing an hour of unreleased material before playing Brothersport and ****ing off as the opposite of Bumford - I'm fairly certain on my headliners there, so as long as there's something good on the Word that night really...

I think I will cry briefly if Mumford and Joanna Newsom are headliners but then I'd get over it and go find something else to watch :-)

geofelgie Grandaddy I can't imagine we'll see Grandaddy back together any time soon, but Jason Lytle has hinted at some solo UK dates this year. Fingers crossed.
and the man in the driver's seat don't care, with his weird cologne and his magic hair..... it's magic!

Ok I got the wrong festival but this was still a pretty damn good call I think. Anyway - I don't care I've already got EOTR tickets and only three days till I buy one for latitude (assuming the line up's not all Tings Tings, UB40, Grace Jones and Bjorked up).

Yeah, I can't believe it. Seriously tempted to go EotR now - always wanted to go, but couldn't justify the cost of two festivals.

meal_deal Yeah, I can't believe it. Seriously tempted to go EotR now - always wanted to go, but couldn't justify the cost of two festivals. We took the plunge last year and it's a fantastic laid back festival and great alternative to Latitude, both are equally fantastic in different ways :)

Last year was my first EOTR, it's really great. Even when there's no bands on you wanna see, exploring in the woods is great. The Walkmen in the woods was amazing.

Imagine if Scissor Sisters headlined the Friday, warmed up by The B-52s. OH GOD THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
