Cut down on 5 hours sleep for the past week to ensure all tasks done. Probably managed it for the first time in my moderately long life. I think I may finally have grown up. Of course there's still time to notice something I forgot.
Everyone behaved well (a bit disappointing? maybe) and lower tariff for gifts not noticed.
As Mr 1 predicted, the Kindle that we agonised over was trodden on by a visitor yesterday (teen2 fell asleep while reading). FML.

I'm thinking the wii injuries balance out the anti-obesity effect that saves it a bit of lolly.
But agree Cameron to blame for both, not the PSB though, what have they (rpt x 3) done to deserve this?

Marry Christmas all,  I hope you have had a good one.  I am nursing a spectacular red wine hangover today and feel the need to have a month off the booze.

Had a nice Christmas, but glad to get back to normality tonight. We have
had our respective parents (all well into 70s) to stay for the last three nights. We love them to bits, but it will be nice to slob out this evening and watch some TV with proper swearing in it without feeling embarrassed!

                  Happy Christmas to all forumers!

A little bit late I know (I haven't had time to visit this ere parish of late)... but...

Happy New Year to everyone! (and while I'm at it, er, Merry Chrimbo too! I hope y'all had a fab time).  New Year wishes to everyone in Lati-Land, and a hug to all of you who I had the pleasure to meet last year - and an extra hug and a squeeze to the one with whom I shared a fair bit of wine and far too many fags (you know who you are).

On this, The Twelfth Day of Christmas, I would like to renew season’s greetings to you all.

The bland world of commercialism may have decapitated its tree-topping angels on the 27th of December (with Tesco hawking chocolate eggs by then), but tonight is still within Yule’s icy grip.

Thus, pull an extra cracker, uncork the remaining mulled wine and take one final stab at an immaculate conception.

                        Merry Christmas!

"Remaining" mulled wine?!  I've just bought another 2 big bottles of the stuff this afternoon, I have no intention of parting with this pleasure for a while yet, at least until all the snow has gone for another winter.  So, mulled wine until March or April for me!

But, Merry (late-ish) Chimbo to you and your medic too Moochy

                              Who indeed.

And just let me clarify (although god knows why), I'll be drinking the Polish version of mulled wine - grzaniec - a drink that probably has a bigger place in the culture than 'just' wine itself (and luckily it's generally available at all times of the year).

                              It's also stronger than wine.

                              And cheaper.

                              Am I sounding classy now?
