Saw the 1st two songs, and decided chilling out elsewhere with a beer as more important....... That tells you my thoughts on the band..... The arena was empty and it was rather easy to get a beer without having to wait for at least half an hour, so this was a bonus.....

Was at OMD, they was incredible. Nuff said about this topic. Glasvegas arn't my cup of tea so, thats why i wernt there, shame they didn't get a good crowd though, no-one wants to hear that.

I guessing OMD were in the Word arena ?? They had some good bands I believe in this arena..... I enjoyed the Foals tracks I heard, although could not stay in the Word Arena as on the left side there was a lot of pushing a shoving, so much so, that we got squashed severals times against the metal barriers at the side..... we decided to leave for safety reasons...... I am not a grouch, and have been in what they call spit pits, but this a some what dangerous where we were and therefore avoided the Word Arena, maybe the arena is too small to hold these acts?? Although I felt sorry for some families who had children in that arena as they were clearly struggling, like us to stay in the tent, and had to watch out for the little ones, lots of people were leaving this side, I believe it did get a mention on the stage by the band from memory ?? Would have been good if these acts were probably in a bigger arena like the Obelisk, then all could enjoy!!! Or Maybe make the Word Arena another large outdoor arena, that would be good.....

More people ram in on that toilet side. There's generally space elsewhere. There was certainly enough space near us for people to dance around in circles and windmill during OMD.

Odd - I spent lots of time in the Word over the weekend and never felt squashed even during busy sets like Adam Ant & OMD.

Maybe this was just during The beginning of the Foals set...... this was not coming from those coming in from the left handside, it was coming from a people who were actually in the middleish, who were on the left pushing each other around on ....... knocking people over who were trying to enjoy the set.... many people got squashed..... The were many disgruntled looks, believe me....

The right hand side of the Word Arena was never overcrowded in my experience. We always went in that side near the front, it was never a problem. Wasn't in for Foals but Lykke Li, OMD, Bunnymen, BSP and Kloot were all fairly sparse on that side. Maybe people are just too lazy to walk round and down that side?!

Left hand side is downslope so those of us who are shorter perfer that side as you can see the stage whereas if you go on the right and have tall people stand in front of you, you can't see buggar all. Spent most of my time in the word arena and yes there was a bit of pushing during the big acts but you know it is a gig............There wasn't any near the back by the rear support poles. Stood there a few times with lots of space and no worries.
Latitude Attendee 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 + probably forever.

No one wants to see any act embarrassed by a poor turnout, so the question has to be aimed at FR - Who was it that thought OMD and The Bees would both be less popular than Glasvegas?

Lazy, lazy booking. 'Glasvagas played a few years ago before they released those two atrocious albums, we can get them easy right?' 'I heard they were in the NME a couple of times' 'yep, that DEFINITELY means they are well popular and people think they have buckets of artistic credibility' 'Book them then, seems like a really good idea' 'Ok, but with the money to book them I could book Johnny Foreigner, Mystery Jets, Los Camp and Young Knives, all of whom are interested to play' 'Nah, stick with Glasvegas, they were on Jools Holland once'
getting lynched at the festival mate, better stay out of my way. Hang you in in the sunrise tent mate, gonna yank ur dick off. LOVE FROM CAL AND WILL SOURBERRIEZ

Whilst lying in my tent on sunday evening with what can only be described as the delayed hangover from hell God took pity on me and unleashed a fearsome downpour; the raindrops rattling the canvas drowned out the sound of glasvegas which otherwise would have drifted across the campsite. Terrible terrible band.
