Nah you're thinking of the Kalakuta Millionaires, who played as part of God's Jukebox. They are named after Fela Kuti's rhythm section - if you liked them, check out the man himself:

I think they actually played the second one, although I was pretty bpllpcksed up so I may be wrong.
