This was my 4th Latitude, in that time the food has become excessivly overpriced, how come all the vendors charge the same for water, coke etc, is there price fixing going on, and as a vegetarian the choice this year was appaling apart from a great pizza place, a had an terrible falafel compared to last year, whats going on FR

And you can't really whinge about food prices when the price list for all stalls was published a week or so beforehand

I thought the food was so much better this year, and it was my 3rd time there. I'm not vegetarian, but love vegetarian food, and I found loads of great options! And they charge the same prices in order to reduce competition between the stalls

I thought the vegetarian stuff was great. Many restaurants think they are doing us a favour by having what they call the 'vegetarian option' so to have so much choice was lovely.

Isle of Arran stalls by the Lake Stage. Best quality food by a mile. I might have to move to Arran just for the food!

I was disappointed by the veggie selection, too. It used to be one of the best. I think in particular I was sad that the hot sausage stand, which boasted THREE types of vegetarian sausage turned out only to have one, which was Linda McCartney's! Really not good, guys. I found myself eating way too many chips and snacks as a result. Not enough proper meals available besides falafel and veggie burgers, which get dull pretty quickly. The only really good meal I had was at the Yorkshire Pud stand, as they did an amazing roast with veggie options complete with the big pud and gorgeous tatties. Yum yum!

Also, I'm afraid I wasn't very impressed by Halloumination! Maybe I am spoiled living in Green Lanes with every top-notch and laughably cheap Turkish restaurant on my doorstep, but this just wasn't up to much: halloumi sliced so thin it was like a crisp when we visited!

A great deal of the stalls didnt stick to the prices. I queried this with one stall holder and he said it was because they were charged so much for the pitch, not sure if he was telling the truth

Can you tell me what. I was referring to quality food like the isle of Arran food not falafels made with a wilted piece of iceberg lettuce and a mushroom stroganoff that was supplied by Brake brothers. Look at the food at Bestival or big chill and then tell me you had good food at a decent price

Oh, please shut up. There was loads of veggie food, my wife loved it. Don't try to foist your needs/wants/beliefs on us meat eaters, and I won't make you choke on a bacon butty with chicken gravy. And the prices were fine, of course the drinks were a set price, that's what happens at festivals. It's not a bloody village fete. Go to Big Chill if it's better there. 3 posts, you're talking ****e, my son.

And there I thought festivals & vegetarianism meant being nice to each other. Having just returned from abroad (unbelievably managed a festival & a holiday in the same year) I was shocked at how expensive the wider world out there is...expected cheap country, cheap prices. Hurrah for Blighty, we are cheaper than we think!
