Think you've gone off-topic here boys ... just wanted to get back on track by giving the Greenpeace people my vote for their coffee cake.  Had a piece for breakfast and didn't need anything else until mid afternoon (and I don't have a small appetite).  Their coffee and sandwiches were good and cheap too.

I rather liked the food at the Yorkshire pud and roast tatties stand. They actually had a much better veggie option than most. Apart from that the veggie/vegan stand was the only place I didn't feel ripped off: their burgers were decent and they did a gorgeous risotto on Sunday.

Afraid I disagree, I thought it was a nice idea that was poorly executed. Best food was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken - nicely spicy, and a decent plate of food to boot.

The dumplings at the jerk chicken place are a complete extravagance - two quid for a scrap of fried pastry - but the most addictive and delicious things ever.

Sure, but given that you eat meat, you obviously had a wider selection to compare with. Vegetarian provision this year was really lacking, I thought...

Fair argument, although I think that by making a lifestyle choice of going veggie, you have to accept some limitations - current estimates put veggies at one in twenty in the UK (5%). I certainly noticed a few veg stands (at least two or three in the main area, and one decent one in the Village - never mind that several stands offered a veg option too - curries, wraps, mexican, etc.). I saw some moaning before the event on here about a lack of veggie/vegan options, so it was nice to see there was actually quite a bit there.

A counter point to yours would perhaps be that it would be unfair to inflict too many veggie options on a predominantly meat eating crowd?

The thai green curry meal was amazing! Ostrich burger and Seacow chilli prawns were tasty as usual too :)

The Burritos were awesome and the Thai Green Curry meal was pretty great too. The fish pie from Loch Fyne was disappointing. Always intrigued as to whether anyone actually buys oysters or mussels at a festival though? Nice as they are surely they're just expensive and don't 'fill up the truck' so to speak?

I overheard an epic exchange at Loch Fyne while waiting for my wifes salmon burger. Two dodgy looking tarts rocked up in heels and skirts, and one (who couldn't even look at the girl serving) dribbled "wot 'ave you got to go down with the oysters?" whilst picking at her excessively stupid nails, during which her friend cocked about with a vajazzled BlackBerry. The poor love replied that they didn't sell drinks, to which our new found trollop pouted "'Ow are you sposed to eat oysters without some fizz?". Politely, the wonderfully reserved young server pointed out that the bars sold wine, and perhaps they would like to get some from there. To which our painted lady pulled a face like a well beaten bottom, fixed the girl with an attempt at a cold glare (which actually looked like she was trying not to touch thong) and spat, "Well, if there ain't no fizz, there ain't no point in eatin' fackin' oysters is there?", turned on a heel, and dragged her equally maquillated partner along with her. One look at the girl behind the counter, and we both cracked up.

Sometimes, you make a new friend under the strangest of circumstances....

Champagne or Prosecco was £50/£25 in the outside theatre bar! But they didn't have pints or anything there.

                        Bacca

Mixed meat noodles on a sunday night under the creepy green tree watching James Blake.

filling, yummy and totally worth the £5.00 i paid for it.

similar experience, except mine was duck in black bean sauce noodles and back into the crowd for a bit of warmth :)

I had them twice , absolutely yum !

You wanted pints of Champange and Prosecco?!  You're hardcore five.

They do reckon there is no truly humane way to dispatch neither Ostrich or Kangeroo, so I avoid.

Suppose you could wait until it's got it's head in the sand then shoot it up the arse? At least it would be a surprise.

My second favourite was the Roast Dinner in a Yorkie Wrap (really good for filling you up on a cold wet day).

I am not going to say which my favourite was because I don't want anyone else queuing in front of me next year when they find out about it!

The Yorkshire pud with the trimmings hit the spot for a sunday lunch and filled me up even if it did become tasteless after the second mouthful.
But my favourite has to be the hog roast baguette for the quantity and for how filling it was!
