Dear Disgruntled Customer, I am sorry to hear that your experience of the welfare service fell short of your expectations and I would like to investigate your complaint further. If you would be so kind as to PM more details, such as the day, time and with whom you spoke (a description), then I will investigate. I am surprised about the 'inability to speak English' as every person on the team is a native English speaker and some in fact teach English to others; all are recruited from appropriate professional backgrounds - counsellors, nurses, social workers etc - and so have to communicate effectively on a daily basis. Many thanks for your time. Corinne Lane Senior Welfare Co-ordinator

In all seriousness, the number of things about a weekend camping in the rain at a music festival that the 'Disgruntled Customer' finds "shocking", "disgusting", "beyond a joke" or worthy of multiple exclamations is frankly worthy of ridicule(!!!) I imagine this person walking down the street glowering, yelping and leaping halfway up a lamp post each and every time they pass a teenager, a queue or anything that isn't entirely sanitised and to their exacting requirements. There ought to be little sympathy for this sort of alarmist lack of proportion, perspective and flexibility that is sadly becoming so rife across modern cosseted society. Latitude is fantastic. But it does take place in a bunch of fields in the countryside. As such it is open to the elements, at the mercy of the weather, and is quite understandably prone to the vagueries of hands-on logistics in a testing environment. Most of us recognise these extreme survival conditions as 'going to a festival'. Get a grip.

Kerry1 ....a bar of good chocolate (50% min, fair-trade)..... 50%?! Slacker. 80% minimum for me (or 70% at a push if there's nothing else on offer).

Roger, we must remain open to the possibilities of less than 70%, esp when educating the next generation of choc appreciation. Duly noted, though, 80% it is. Will need to feign a cough to justify it to Mr1, though, as he thinks it the spawn of the devil.

Hi kerry1, as Roger says, you are a very welcome addition to the forums. I enjoy reading your posts. I am far from invisible at the festival, being mainly slap bang in the middle of the arena next to a green shed. I love meeting the forum members so make sure you stop by and say hello next year.

fiveuke Check this out: OK, so Roger, Annie, Fiveuke for suggesting, & anyone else who asks nicely, I will make the cookies from this stuff, which are unbelievably good - sounds a bit vain, but wow. I have to ration how often I make them as they are too good. And a bit pricey. But they are like a wonder drug if you're feeling tired, honest. Someone will need to remind me nearer the time. I will forget.
