What did everyone think? Personally I got the hell out of there while the going was still good when they started doing Viva la Vida. Or am I missing something?

I stayed for about half an hour, to give them a chance but I really wasn't very impressed. I found it pretty boring to watch actually, and I bet that half the crowd were there just because there was nothing else on! Not a good booking...

IMO their version of Viva la Vida is way better than the original, but that's as far as it goes. 'With or Without You' was much better though thanks to Charlie Baker's amazing joke.

Did they have a very big crowd?

I didn't watch them as was at comedy then lit but could hear bits as I moved around the site, didn't sound good at all.

Shame really as normally that slot is the most talked about thing of the weekend however I didn't hear a single person mention them at all whilst at Latitude.

Was packing shizzle in the car but, from a distance actually sounded great.

Kinda wish i was there, anyone actually turn up so can make an informed review?

We watched, no major crowd - very empty when they started, loads of space on the left hand side even at the end. However FR would probably be satisfied with the number they drew.
Pleasant Sunday lunchtime listening for a wet festival. My daughter's a singer and she enjoyed them.
No major crowd puller like Thom or Tom

They were better from afar, outside the comedy tent I heard them do 'When Doves Cry' which sounded great. But then actually went and watched and they were a bit dull, people were loving the dancey/rave one though, a few more like that and they'd have been more impressive.

Some bits good, some bits awful, some bits pointless. If they'd have done the good stuff and FR had put them in the Woods Thursday night or something then I'd have said it was a good booking. But as it stood, they weren't that great and didn't draw a particularly big crowd. Pretty rubbish booking.

Not bad. Thought they'd missed a trick by simply having all the members of the choir sing the same tune at the same time. No layers or texture.

Seemed to go down well with a crowd that grew as their set progressed.

Thought the comment they made that "we're not a choir and we're not a band" made no sense (unless I missed the obvious, which is ever likely)

I think on balance they were pretty inoffensive and clearly talented and stuff, but a little dull and really not that memorable. At the end of the day, they are a glorified covers bands.
As you can see from the press release on the website they are trying to spin it as "much-anticipated" (really?) and "a fitting start to the final day". I think in reality it will have washed over most people in a pleasant haze.

We heard quite a lot while wandering around and tbh it was pretty dull so we carried on walking rather than stop to listen.

It wasn't awful and there were even a couple of nice moments, but when they played Have A Nice Day by The Stereophonics I was outta there as fast as I could be.

Bit of a balls up on the Sunday slot this year. I bet FR hate it now and wish they'd never thought of it.

I watched it and quite enjoyed it. When I say watched I mean I layed down and had a snooze at the Obelisk whilst they were on but it sounded pretty good.

I thought they were excellent. Was there from start to finish and with the exception of the final song (have a nice day) I was enthralled throughout. Of course they will be an acquired taste though I think it's very unfair to call them 'a covers band'. Of course I'd have preferred Joanna newsroom again but it was a mssive improvement on having Tom jones last year.

totally agree with Damaris on this one some bits good and some bits pointless and dull. however totally worth it for Anna Calvi afterwards.

they way exceeded my expectation, i was expecting dull and they were beyond awful. Nice singing for sure, but talentless arrangements without any layering of voices or tempo variety. Pretentious, but worth seeing my son get the giggles ,when he realised this was not comedy. FR surely missed a trick by not getting  the renowned covers artist and lounge lizard Richard Cheese in ,as he played Sonisphere the weekend before and would have been hilarious.
