I was previously a scala-hater, bitching to my friends about the annual dilution of the sunday slot. Wandering round the site, saw scala for their last 4 songs, and they completely converted me. Spine-tingling moments, a larger crowd than for many other obelisk acts, and some original songs too - they're more than "a covers band". One song was very much full-on techno, with choral vocals overlaid, and i've not seen a sunday lunchtime crowd dance so much before. I wouldn't buy their album, but I felt bad for thinking so poorly of them, and i'm glad I was there.

ok, apart from the fact they were on at completely the wrong time, midday didn't suit the feel of the music at all, thursday or merely at night candle-lit would have given the performance something more. the overlay video for creep was also one of the weirdest. but their original compositions sounded good and having gone in thinking meh, i came out thinking meh in parts and good in others. really didn't enjoy their version of KT - Black Horse, sounded like a wet karaoke version IMO. crowd was quite bizarre too and i was surprised at how big it got in places, but it was still small in comparison of previous slots, wrong band for the slot but they did what they did.

I watched a bit because I wanted to sit down while eating something. Thought they were just a high pitched girls school choir. Not impressed.

Seriously, they are just a choir. There is absolutely nothing special about their arrangements, no talent there at all. It is a girls choir from Belgium that cover obscure indie classics from Radiohead and The Kaiser Chiefs and Stereophonics. I cannot comprehend why people think they are special in any way, shape or form.

MaxwellT obscure indie classics from Radiohead and The Kaiser Chiefs and Stereophonics. What ? But no, the arrangements were so incredibly dull, the piano and guitar were often out of time, and the song choices were boring.

Well, judging from the avatar, I might be able to get parenting support.

Arrangements weren't very interesting but the choir were all right. I liked the video arrangements and they could sing nicely but that was about it. Best song for me was eskimo by Damien Rice. Should of been on at midnight not midday

Totally lived up to my expectations - bland, boring, and not very tuneful. If I wanted to hear ****poor covers of songs already played at the festival by the original artists, I'd have stayed listening to the drunk kids in the campsites. Who, by the way, understood how to harmonise...
