The I'm back home thread

I'm back home, left the site on the first bus to Diss this morning. In a kind of Top Gear challenge, how did you get back? When did you leave? Were there any delays of interest? Yeah that's right, i wanna hear about commuting and stuff not what you thought of the bands. So my journey back was this: 5.30- Wake up, pack up Buy bus ticket/get on bus Get on train, then more trains, then more trains. Get a lift home. Log on to the forum! Anyone got a more tedious banal journey they want to talk about?

Took an hour to get off site, not good for 'new' P reg cars , low to ground with suspension problems, at least I managed to get off site without overheating :) oh and left hubby and son on site - to get off later (in a luton van) ...they still haven't left :(

Finally home, but in good time! I was woken this morning by an explosion, as the tent behind mine was on fre. I think a gas canister exploded or something. No one was hurt, but ALL of their stuff got burnt. I'm rather disappointed by the staff this year though, the woman on the fire tower was far too busy dancing to her ipod rather than looking out for people in need. I had to go and ask the toilet attendants to help with the fire! Also far too many info people were just chatting and not actually giving any info, and one car park attendant was being rude and patroning because I stalled my car while stuck in the mud...

Hi Not sure if I've posted before but have been registered since my first Latitude in 2008... this year we decided to leave yesterday rather than today, and I want to know if we made the right decision! The reason we left was because of worries with getting the Punto out of the very, very muddy car park. Even at 5pm yesterday it was a nightmare (specially with the foolish girl in the new Mini tailgating us through a skiddy slippery carpark), and with a 7 hour journey ahead of us we didn't fancy it this morning. So - was it that bad this morning?? Part of me hopes so, as I missed quite a lot of things I wanted to see in favour of sensibleness! And in the theme of this thread.. wkend highlights: Bellowhead Steve Hughes in the comedy tent Spank!

I was woken up by idiots singing what seemed like the entire Radiohead backcatalogue, about 3am. Gave up trying to sleep at about 3.45, so packed the tent and hit the lovely muddy skid pan that was the exit route. An absolute joy in a low-slung RWD car :) Left site at about 5.10am, got home (liverpool) at 10.30. No sign of rush hour at any point, so perfect timing, imho :D
