Nico Rijnders I thought I'd skip over it. He does seem to have very frequent forum dreams. Now you come to cite it, I suppose I do, but this had been the first in many months. It is quite peculiar dreaming about people one has never met. Imagination is allowed full rein. Anyway, the latest dream wasn't overtly creepy: the young Nico offspring was wearing a Robert Wyatt tee shirt and chasing me through the streets of Leeds. Frightening place; frightening dream, but the sort one recognised as a dream throughout.

I’m feeling severely dejected now. Missing Latitude this year wasn’t such a blow, as it clearly isn’t what it once promised to be, but becoming detached from the forumers’ hysteria (with absolutely nothing to contribute) is killing me. I’m like a leper who wants to touch someone so badly that he’d sacrifice his arm just for the thrill of touching a girl…a boy…an egg.. I cringe at the praise on some threads, taking the festival further away with every piece of prolixity proffered, but positively recoil at some of the ridiculous complaints: there are tits on here who are apparently considering boycotting Latitude 2012 because they had to surrender half an hour at the bus stop in Ipswich – or because some chumps could not roll a cigarette correctly. I began a diet yesterday (following the naming ceremony for my pet breasts) but some of these posts are likely to send me out for the greasiest kebab in Turkey. Maddix, Triangle and others, I hope you’re all still attending Field Day: the music is a minor draw for me at present. I yearn to participate in the communal boogie.

I'm glad people enjoyed it, but I feel the festival has changed so much: praise for it will render Melvyn and co. all the more relaxed about Paolo Nutini mark 2 next year. I would have thought that was quite simple. You'll get there. Penis tip though I may be, I expressed far more anger at the silly nature of the complaints, and my inability to contribute. I’m not happy either way at present.

Just buy a ticket next year, silly. I didn't see any of the acts that disappointed you beforehand but it was still brilliant. I'm sure you'd have had a good time, seriously.

the best thing about moochoo's moaning at the music line-up is that, when he did attend, he spent most of his reviews going on about how the doctor made him miss all his favourite bands by watching cabaret and theatre

They are trying quite hard to get me started, aren't they, Nico? I never intended to moan about the lineup tonight: my post was very much centered upon my frustration about not being able to contribute - and featured far more material on the pedantic criticism of the festival (which was ignored); I returned to this thread so as not to obstruct the flow of others. Perspective is a wonderful thing. Well, worry not, Nico: no Moochian rants are forthcoming. If I had a garden, I would retire to it. Carry on: ignore the tit in the hat.
