Vegan Food Worries !

Just seen the food list - not much in the vegan line - what's happened? Are the Vegan Food stalls (can't remember what they are called) not there this year? Help!

What are you worried about - there are trees all over the place! And they are so much easier to catch and to peel than the sheep.
I am short, young and wildly inaccurate.

yep, agreed, not much of it looks vegan. I was really surprised. Are falafels vegan? I could survive on them.
I don't have the drugs to sort it out.

At the back of my mind I seem to remember that the Good Gracious Healthy Foods (mainly vegan burgers etc) which had several stalls last year , weren't on the traders list last year. So if Annie or Roger can give me some reassurance that they will be there anyway I can relax ! Yes Falafels can be vegan

It's been pretty good every other year and they've always done a constantly roaring trade so I hope they'll be there. Maybe someone could confirm?

So is having 20 pints of cider day washed down with Aero milkshake but I hope Latitude will be catering for all eventualities.

my bf is is a glutenfree vegetarian and that was not that difficult last year( although when eating out ,there is always the chance of careless cross- contamination with wheat products ,which he cannot have and ignorance of the stall -holders), however i suppose indian- type food is out because of the ghee?

I agree with the title of this thread Vegan food worries me - all that extra methane. Vegans are contributing significantly to global warming

Any news yet, Annie? This being the most middle class festival in the world, I hadn't even considered that it would pose a problem being vegan. It was fine last year here as well as at Download and Leeds- I'm assuming that FR get on nicely and have done a deal to let them park the vans again... :)

Sorry I still haven't received a reply. I would be very surprised if vegans are not catered for, so will stick my neck out and say that you will be fine. Obviously the choice is not going to be huge, but same as last year.

Great! Those vegan food trucks last few years have actually been really, really good - tasty, filling, served with a smile and you get a decent handful of green stuff in there too which can be really welcome as a veggie if you fear loading up on pizza and noodles and potatoes and stuff. Every time this thread pops up, even with my home comforts around me, I crave an all-day-breakfast bap from the vegan stalls :)

Where is the food stall list? Sorry if I'm being lazy or blind. I just really, really want the Argentinean steak with chimichurri sauce for pretty much every meal. Omnomnom.
