What's this viagogo? There seem to be loads of tickets on there? Why are they so cheap?

Why are they so cheap? viagogo aren't usually cheap. they're basically legal touts. you are garunteed not to lose any money you give them for a ticket, but that could mean getting a valid ticket or just being refunded if one turns out not to be available. the usually add a big surcharge on top for themselves

Viagogo is also for people (like me!) who find themselves with tickets they need to sell. It's more secure than ebay/selling direct as it has various guarantees for buyers and sellers...but it's also more expensive for sellers than ebay etc. The seller sets the price, so how cheap they are reflects how quickly (desperately?!) they want to sell the ticket(s). Viagogo then adds further charges that they call booking fees, delivery and VAT. But tickets bought this way can still be much cheaper than face value, and you know they are genuine, or at least that your money is protected.

Shame, with a 1,000 left last weekend, and no post of selling out! I reckon there are 800 left now, maybe 700. But how many day tickets are still available? Extra room for camping I guess, and I bet you anything (as the phrase goes) it's people my age that haven't bought tickets this year.
My new musical blog - Harry Likes Music My Last.Fm Latitude 07-12, 07 and 11 camped. Saturday only for 08,09, 10, 12 Reading Festival 12, camping.

yeah its a shame, lets hope the arena doesn't feel so horrendously overpacked with the increase in spread and less people perhaps? :) Still think toilets will be overwhelmed however. Stupid portaloo's.

I reckon it's true, and no one is managing to sell their tickets, and there's none of seetickets so it's likely to be true. Even if they weren't totally sold out, there wouldn't be many left at all.

Click on the tickets page and the only 'sold out' is Saturday, which is obviously a reference to having Paolo headline. More to the point if you click on buy it takes you to See and you can go as far as entering card details, not done so as I already have mine! Might be that there are only a few left and they don't want people turning up or just the PR stunt

YES, i bought my ticket...actually a campervan ticket as i have done every year. i have a people carrier which i convert which holds my bed and fridge etc. however, according to the gate monkies, this wasn't good enough this year and they refused me entry. i got told this year that if the bed wasn't fixed, i wasn't allowed in. well, ive just got home and there is nothing in the rules about this. i am devasatted that having been going for 3 years, this year i am suddenly deemed not suitable. bollox to this festival.
