That was an odd little festival. As eddie said, the arena itself felt pretty empty, but campsite was rammed by Friday night. Need to think that one through next year. Bit of a 6th form leavers party atmos, but only 20 mins down the A11, so can't complain. The 15 yr old loved it.

OMG you guys. I was looking for the forum's Frank Turner thread and I found this one. It certainly adds intrigue to eddy's current predicament.
 
Anyway I was looking for a Frank Turner thread so that I could post a link to the Quietus review of his latest CD. Thought it might come in useful when people start begging for him to appear at Latitude 2012.

Anyone else heard rumours of Charlatans for Playfest?

Now, do you know what, that's quite a strong lineup for a festival of it's size.

Not bad at all, it's quite sustainable bookings there, nothing too outrageous or outlandish at the moment, too work to them tbh. 

ash are great. rest of the line up sux. oh wait, ill murray. nice 1 maxwell.

Right happy with this lineup, Ash sound abit outdated now but I'm sure will be pretty great live.

I saw Ash last year at Ben and Jerrys Summer Sundae, they were excellent live, real good fun music and stuff, much better than Ocean Colour Scene (the headliners) tbh. 

Ah awesome, so will you be attending Play Festivilia this year Eddy?
 
Also, Juan Zelada is bootiful, and liking the sound of Tripwires and Ill Murray at the minute

Yeah I'll definitely be going, dragging a few people along aswell. 
Even gonna be getting my brother who has never been to a festival before (and he is 32yrs old)  because of the Sunday Headliner (Which I know but, no1 else does it appears) win. 

Nice one mate, and ooooh, Maximo? Maccabees? Bombay? I have a feeling it's one of them.

I'm pretty impressed by the newest announcement, Scroobius Pip and Natty are solid bookings, and shows us at least that the organisers aren't actually stuck in 2005.    
 
I await the standard 'You definitely work for their PR department' comment.

I am genuinely appalled that most of those 'acts' still exist.

Pigeon Detectives and Reverend were two of the wankest acts of 2007, let alone 2012. what the f*ck? 
 
Ash are effing fantastic though.

I'm not being sullen this is a serious question - is this an underage/unlicensed festival?
