Tonight's Only Connect had some good questions. No one believed me about the pokemon bit, it was like "Don't be silly Kieran they won't have pokemon on Only Connect"

Which round were the Pokemon questions in, please? The no-vowels one? The wall? Are they the new greek letters/hieroglyphs?

          The wall.

Would you like me to explain it in full or is that too much of a spoiler.

They are in Thomas' HQ Clitheroe on this Coogan/Brydon thing on BBC2 and talking about the north and Manchester and that. Uncanny.

Oh arse I forgot about that thing. Is it good? All I know about Clitheroe is that it's full of racists. I do know more than that, but I'm not prepared to say more at this stage.

I really enjoyed it. It was quite slight, probably depends how much of Coogan's self absorption you can manage. If you liked the Cock & Bull Story film you would probably enjoy it.

well...although you both have mainly and manly chosen to ignore my somewhat catty put downs of you both, nico & thomas
i have to tell you, that for all its faults, Clithero  has simply the best wine shop out side of the capital...oh my god Byrne Brothers...you simply have to check it out

was it me or did that sound a bit camp ?

I was waiting for Nico Rijnders to put forward a well-argued case for our side, otherwise it was just going to be me calling you a daft **** or something.

I think I will watch the Coogan/Brydon thing soon, maybe on Friday if I can get it off work.

Intense Spooks tonight. We totally thought Lucas was going to be replaced in MI5 by the beardy fat guy, this would obviously be a terrible loss to Spooks' man candy levels.
Watched the news too so I can be topical etc.

                            Spooks is just absolutely ridiculous.

I just watched Only Connect on iPlayer. Great stuff. Obv I was screaming at the TV during Pokemon round.

Masterchef final instead of Tottenham vs Internazionale. They do lay it on a bit thick.

I gave up on this series of Masterchef: The Professionals due to having Masterchef bloat and there just being too much of it what with this and Celebrity Masterchef and Masterchef and Children's Masterchef.

Basically I've been watching Masterchef for about 3 hours a week for nearly a year and it was starting to annoy me. Is the one that looks like Josie Long still in though?

We can play scab watch today, so watch out Humphreys. I still haven't quite reconclised myself to Mark Radcliffe since last time.

So far, kudos to the Today show and BOOO to Ian Payne on Radio 5.

I'm not sure if watching it, listening to the radio or looking at the website to see who is scabbing, counts as scabbing itself. I have thrown a brick through my own window just in case.

Haha. Yes, watching BBC news today makes you as bad as the shredding man who crossed my picket line earlier this year. SCUM. But not watching it probably counts as illegal secondary action so whatyagonnado, huh.

I can't wait to get striking again. Picket lines are fun.
