My old arse used to live on the cinema pews, but I've lapsed - I did see a really good play in St Paul’ church the other day...
Yeah, well, my recommendation is Neighbor by Robert Angelo Masciantonio. This young writer/director is a good friend of my wife's, and - if you buy the DVD - you'll discover that the eminent Dr Moochoo provides the audio commentary. Unfortunately, Rob has throat cancer, and needs people to buy the film to fund his treatment - Obama insurance or no Obama insurance.
It's an interesting one, and an example of the torture porn genre (made popular by guff like Hostel): the most effective scene comes as the sexy young torturess sticks a skewer into the hapless hero's penis, then uses it to mount him (sexually rather than beside a butterfly). Many on IMDB have described it as the worst film they've ever seen - and a guy in the cinema (where we first saw it) described to the mortified producer (another friend, now) as “Funny Games for morons." It's actually good, though - if not for the squeamish - and is simultaneously funny, gory and thought-provoking. Only available to order online, I believe (certainly not in the shops over here).
The trailer (not that it gives a great impression):

Great acting and an interesting character portrait! The sort of serial killer one just wants to cuddle, and caress. The trailer:

It's more interesting than your average (chip-off-the-old) blockbuster, and it was nice to look cool for a couple of hours thanks to the groovy 3D specs. It is, however, a bit of a waste of Blu-tack. Nothing to email home about.
I'm done with ya.
