If it's not too late to choose. Purple or pink will do me perfectly nicely. I won't be sending mine for a week (possible a bit less) because my CDs are now in a different country to me. So I'll post them when I'm back in Blighty on Thursday (before the Leeds/Electric Picnic craziness starts). It seems everyone is taking care to make their CDs look good, so I might need to alter my minimal approach, and also possibly include some Polish-themed 'goodies'.

Just giving your cd a listen now Tommy. Sounds horrible so far, all rubbish forgetable electro pop like the lower bill on the smaller stages at Latitude in 2009. NICE1 M8

I've listened to Thomas' CD another couple of times since posting some initial feedback yesterday. I still think the best tracks are the first and last songs, with high marks also going to Momus and Niki & The Doves. I don't much enjoy the club songs other than the 'Feel So Good' track that has a hypnotic kind of charm. Thanks again, Thomas.

I went for a nice walk around this afternoon and had a good listen to Thomas's CD. It was raining earlier, but as I walked the sun came out and I had to take my jacket off in the end. As hoppo says, it is thematically very strong and has a good flow, which made it ideal for a stroll. I wasn't keen on the Momus song. For such a stringent moaner, everything I've heard of his is like very weak cordial. I enjoyed everything else though. I' went around the back streets a bit on my walk, to see if there was any amusing graffiti and that, so I took a short cut through a quite big pub to get to Maplins on London Road. It was fun walking through the pub with the brass band What Time is Love blaring. Probably my favourite single track I hadn't heard at all was the !!! track. The production was lovely. I am enjoying the 1990 revival. By the time I got to Sainsbury's Saint Etienne were just kicking in, which was ideal for a nice clean supermarket environment. I greatly enjoyed the mix of garage, grime, pop and electro that Thomas brought out for the run in. The Zinc feat Ms Dynamite track was spectacular and should have been a massive hit. Also the Dot Star and Wiley tracks. Will be interested to hear what the forum Proper Music fans think of What Happens When We Die and the rest of Thomas's CD in general. Thanks very much Thomas, I enjoyed your CD a great deal. So, ahem. My own effort is sadly delayed somewhat (yes). I can't find one of the tracks I wanted to include, which is a mash up that absolutely nobody will enjoy. Very 2002. But don't worry, one of the editors of The Quietus has said he will send me a copy next week.

Just listened to most of the Thomas CD again. I like a lot of the stuff on there but it feels like a bit of a chore to sit through - I'm not sure if that's because of the length of the whole thing or the length of the songs. For someone who has drummed into our brains that the optimum length of a track is 3mins26 Thomas has included quite a few songs that are approaching 5 minutes. Not convinced. However, there is plenty of highlights on there. Most of these occur near the start, and unsurprisingly the two Luke Haines featuring tracks are definitely included. I certainly think There's Gonna Be An Accident is the best, those slippery cello lines on there are great. Previous to coming across Thomas and Nico Rjinders I'd always assumed Haines was a tedious misanthropic acoustic guitar type in the vein of Jim Bob but it's clear that I was wrong. Another favourite was the big brass band track. I remember including a similar take on Klaxons hit Gravity Rainbow on my very first Latitude Forum mix CD from 2007 or whenever it was, so it feels nice that people are still listening to oddities like that. The Momus track is cool as well, and the singer's voice reminds me of Chris Morris' son from The It Crowd (the guy who currently runs Renham Industries, can't remember his name). !!!'s Magnetic Fields cover is better than anything I've heard by !!! before and most of what I have heard by Stephen Merrit. Feels like every time I hear an 8 minute St. Etienne song I dislike them more and more, though. I think the only song I had heard previously from the CD was the Nicki Minaj number, as discussed earlier, and I think this is the first time I have received such a 'new' CD out of the 20 or so that I have received off of the Latitude Forums - this also meant it was one of the better ones so far. Congratulations on that, Thomas. I'm glad it has a very different vibe to what I am going for.

Thomas CD It's not really the sort of music I listen to at all. (But that's the point of these things I guess...) Anyway, I like the start of the mix but from around half way it all goes a bit down hill for me. I have listened to it twice and I will be passing it to a friend that I know will enjoy it. + 10 for effort with the case and the amazing time. Anyway I should be posting mine by mid week. Can't wait to get a few more to listen too

Listened to Thomz' CD twice more, once while getting ready to go out on saturday night and once during a punishing gym session this morning, FYI it is better suited to the former scenario. In my opinion it is very listenable, although I think it works better as pleasantly chillaxing background music. I agree with others that the first half of the mix is stronger, although notable tracks I enjoyed towards the end were the Cassie, Wiley and Luke Haines Tracks. All in all a decent mix of songs which may become my GETTING READY CD OF CHOICE. 7.4/10

Judging from his posts he is usually fairly giddy, but he is not Giddy. But I am amazed that you ask this as I am sure you have referred to Moochoo as Simon Moochoo a number of times, unless I have missed a joke?
