You don't need a CRB to be a private tutor.

Hmmn, last time round, Hoppo was the only rotter who reviewed my effort. I'm actually waiting for my latest CRB check to be completed - it's taking months. Wonder if I'm amongst the 1 in 8 Londoners (honorary in my case) to be the victim of identity theft. It's just a renewal though, Bite Orca; I'm technically covered...honestly. You’ll be perfectly safe with me. Grouchland is correct: strictly speaking, one doesn't require anything to be a private tutor. However, few reputable agencies allow tutors through without one, and few reputable parents fail to ask for one - and a couple of degrees stuffed in one’s back pocket tend to help. Thought you all should know that. Okay, I'll participate... if only because I can't bear to be left out, what with forum fukkers ignoring my threads these days, and as Maddix's apparently assumed I'm in anyway. Really sinking down the Latitude charts.

I've finished my CD. A mere fifteen fabulous minutes were required. I spent millennia last time, reshuffling and rejecting tracks, only to wish I'd left my initial selection intact. Thus, no card tricks or heart surgery. I'm going with my initial instincts. No one will listen to the sod, anyway...again. Will probably type-up the track listing and do the recordings tomorrow; then we're ready to go. Wish I'd had a private tutor or two when a knee-high to a gofer: I might have avoided becoming a private tutor. Keyboards up, who had private tuition as a pincher - you bourgeois bastards?

I'm kind of tempted, except my taste is bound to be too middle of the road for everyobody on here. What can I possibly bring that's new to people like Hoppo, Maddix, Moochoo, Grouchland or Roger?
I don't have the drugs to sort it out.

Mr Moochoo Keyboards up, who had private tuition as a pincher - you bourgeois bastards? I have a guitar tutor but it's not really the same I guess. I remember all the teachers at school who did part time tutoring work were miserable and hated children. Is 69 Short Stories getting published soon?

Guitar tutor, eh? Very punk. I recall you mentioning summer school in the past, so I suppose that counts in a way (even if it isn't private). My advantage is that I don't work in a school and only provide one-to-one tuition. It's okay. "69 Lovers" has hit a more deadly dead-end than Yorkshire. The fact that only Hoppo and SleepingNinja responded to the sample deterred me slightly. Very disappointing. I've been writing a children's story (DRAWING ON A CAT'S DREAM WORLD, WITH PARALLELS IN OURS) - but it's a little too warped and convoluted. Simple bores me. I need to refocus and see projects - unpleasant word though that it is - through to their completion. I always lose faith with them; depressing though it is, perseverance is apparently more important than talent. Perhaps it's time to ignore your collective silence and get on with it. There's a nice joint Adam-and-Eve narration to kick things off. Most of my stuff is very pretentious - and that's how I like it. Anyway, how are the compilation CDs coming, comrades?

What can I possibly bring that's new to people like Hoppo, Maddix, Moochoo, Grouchland or Roger? Never mind that, Nevermindme, I'm sure I can type for Maddix in proclaiming that all regulars are welcome. What's more, the likes of Hoppo - a man who could read the NME without realising it was citing bands - could do with a healthy middle-of-the-avenue dosage. Just make a CD that reflects your taste - and ignore me when I slag it off; you can slag mine off too. And you will.

LOL, I knew my poptimist cred was blown with that stat. Fact about my recent Sebadoh anecdote: I had forgotten who the headliners were for that gig so Googled 'clinic the country teasers' and discovered the archived Sebadoh gig page. I had thought it might have been Gomez, but actually they were supported by Ooberman if I recall correcly. LOL the late 90s and being 14.
