.... St etienne to me sounds like the sound the colour beige would make. 
 

That's always been exactly my view of St Etienne, it's almost word-for-word how I've always described them.  To me their sound just seems to drift past like second-hand smoke in a smoky bar, I can maybe see how some of their songs make OK background music but them actually having fans is practically inexplicable to me. 
 
And I've never wanted to 'fumble Sarah Cracknel up her channel tunnel' as Whale so delightfully put it.

I'd hate to be the one that has to break it to her.    

I'm wondering, did Thomas get around to PM-ing out my address to y'all?  Am I on the list of recipients for all your wonderful (and Thomas's) CDs???  I know I was a bit slow supplying it to him at first (due to being stranded in a series of sunny/loud fields for 11 days).

Whale were brilliant!!! And Eurodog is my fave track!
 
Not very insightfull....but true!

I forgot to add as no doubt they will all arrive tomorrow, due to the FORTUNE I spent, mine are wrapped in brown paper like in the olden days and the tracklisting is on a little piece of white paper in the slipcase.
