I'm going to have a bash at this. Please post your predictions while I have a think. Bear in mind that: I have honestly not compiled my own top ten albums list since I was about 15 I haven't really bothered with albums for at least 5 years, except by my Top Artists Therefore this list will be basically "what my best 10 albums were when I was 15"

Nice list. It's good to see we're almost all agreed on the sublime genius of The Velvet Underground & Nico.

I get the feeling that, beside which album by 'the group' is at number 1, that has been the same since about 82 hasn't it

I've just spent the last half hour putting all this into a spreadsheet. Between us so far we've chosen 132 different albums, so cheers for that. While I was doing this I decided to check out that Black Box Recorder what Thomas put in his list and it's very good.

I always have a lot of trouble ordering these, they're all interchangable for first place really, along with about 5 others that are not on this list. But I'll go with: 1.Godspeed You Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven 2.Kraftwerk - Computer World 3.William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops 4.Radiohead - Kid A 5.Sufjan Stevens - Illinois 6.Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn 7.Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation 8.The Knife - Silent Shout 9.Boards Of Canada - Geogaddi 10.Eels - Beautiful Freak

Velvet Underground & Nico could easily have been on my list (probably the most obvious omission along with The Queen is Dead) and I am listening to it now to prove it.
